The next time someone says 'all lives matter,' show them these 5 paragraphs

Author: Peggy McIntosh and Kevin Roose

" I can be sure that if I need legal or medical help, my race will not work against me"
This is one of the most interesting points on Peggy's list. Color, race, gender, finances or sexual orientation should never influence how or why you receive medical care. Doctors take an oath to do no harm and while they may never intend to if they choose their next patient by any other factor than "this person needs more immediate medical help" then they are not upholding the oath that they have taken.  https://www.britannica.com/topic/Hippocratic-oath https://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=20909

"Just like asking dad for your fair share, the phrase "black lives matter" also has an implicit "too" at the end: it's saying that black lives should also matter. But responding to this by saying "all lives matter" is willfully going back to ignoring the problem."
I think the person who wrote this did an excellent job in doing so. They did a really nice job at breaking down the issue and describing the actual meaning of the Slogan "Black Lives Matter". The sad thing is that it needs to be explained and that most americans are too dense to realize that their is an implied too at the end and that most americans sadly to say cannot distinguish the differences of the varying meanings of the to,too and I as well have read this paragraph at least two times to make sure that I have not massed up any of the intentional too's or to's that i have added on here. I probably have but am honestly too lazy to reread it a third time.

"I can chose blemish cover or bandages in "flesh" color and have them more or less match my skin."
As an art education major whenever I see the color "Flesh" on anything I always have the same few thoughts, "What the h*** is Flesh coloration and who decided on this." Flesh is in itself not a color. https://www.dictionary.com/browse/flesh?s=t Dictionary.com describes it as being part of the body, wether it is fiber or muscle tissue. It does not specify "Flesh as anything but part of the body. In fact it does mention the words "flesh colored" together precedent by this is now considered offensive. FLESH IS NOT A COLOR and if it is it should be a variation of red due to its direct dictionary definition. Flesh does not equal a peach color.

This is a picture you get when you google flesh. It is Pink white and red you find me a human who's skin looks like this and I will accept Flesh as a color. Also sorry if the image is gross
