Introduction

My name is Christian  Raposo, I am twenty two years old. My birthday is April 28th. My favorite season/ time of year is Fall. I love Halloween and horror movies. I am studying to be an Art Education Major. When I am not in class I am either: working at my job down in Middletown or I am playing video games. Over the summer/Spring I spent to weeks in Japan. I traveled mainly around Tokyo and the surrounding districts. I have traveled a fair amount. Mainly around Eastern United States and a trip to the Azores. I plan on hopefully visiting Greece before I graduate college.

Ive decided to do a connection for blog post seven. The first article I would like to connect to is Kristof's Land of Limitations article. I chose this one because in my opinion they are kind of mirror images of each other. Kristof to some extent preached that hard work and effort did not effect the outcome of ones life. His friend was an excellent student, hardworking and yet always seemed to get the raw end of the deal. However "The service of what" article almost preaches the exact opposites. It tells us stories about Mrs.Adams class and Mrs.Johnson's that help show us that hard work can be beneficial it is just  how you use the hard work. The author uses this quote to almost emphasize the importance of a secondary language in teaching. Not only does it make those who speak the binary language more comfortable in the class room it also can contribute to the overall education of the group. I can relate to this fact in a sense because going through the Middletown public school system I saw many military families come and go through the years.
